V1.0

Foundation

TASS 1.0 Engine- Previously DME

The genesis of DimenPlay. Introducing our proprietary Temporal Audio Spatial System, enabling our first immersive listening environment. This proved the working prototype of the engine and playback system. This was initially called the Difference Matrix Engine. This was based on HTRF methods and common uses of binaural audio.

Optimization

Extended DME Process.

Refined the physics engine to calculate early reflections with 40% higher precision, significantly expanding the perceived soundstage. This still used our old design but it was read like a technical router than a media player.

V1.2- 1.9

Ultimate Media Player

Unified Media Player - TASS Philosophy Introduced

Introduced the TASS framework and surprisingly Video Playback as a unified media player not just audio. Technical challenges and limitations prevented the TASS engine from being realized for our intent.

Calibration system for tuning over 1000 profiled headphones and speakers for optimized listening performance.

V2.0-2.1

Milestone

The DimenPlay Revision

A complete architectural re-build. The obsidian kernel introduced ultra-low CPU overhead and real-time head tracking support.

  • Removed video playback for a pure audio spatial experience.
  • Simplified controls, navigation and core philosophy of what DimenPlay should be. Spatial Immersion, Simplified.

Improved Playback on a variety of formats including FLAC support.

  • Improved spatial navigation via the 3d joystick.
  • Introduced Quick sync QR code remote control.

  • Public launch of DimenPlay at $10.99 USD.
  • Multiple platform support- MacOS, Android and Windows.
  • Cache system for incompatible tracks.

High-Fidelity Audio

Support for up to 24-bit/192kHz audio streams across all spatialized nodes without downsampling.

  • Improved spatial decoding and binaural presence while reducing fatigue.
  • Removed the calibration and discovery pages as it was underutilized. May be reintroduced later.

Sync

v2 Maturity

Finalized the 2.6 framework of DimenPlay.

  • Optimized faster playback.
  • Improved interactions and accessibility of common controls.
  • Hover metrics for certain buttons in mobile versions of the app.
  • Removed mandatory online checkins- keeping the app purely offline apart from first time setup.
  • Supports up to 3 devices per account.
  • adds 10 history devices for quick sync.
